Trials and Tribulations (Part 13)- Update on Private Dorm Room with Private Bath
After careful thought and deliberation, I thought others would find this interesting about our battle with Asperger Syndrome. If anyone would like to post about their trials and tribulations, please leave a link so we can read your story. :)
This is written in the third person.
M received an email from the Disability Specialist at UMBC about his request for accommodations at UMBC:
I have received your request for housing. I am able to recommend a "medical single" for you based on your disability. I will not be able to grantee a private bath as self-contained rooms are very scarce. Please let me know if you still plan to come to UMBC, as I won't make the request unless I know you will be attending in the Fall.
M and his parents were very pleased with the news and M replied back:
This is great news! Having a private room will enable me to attend UMBC in the Fall. Hopefully, a private bath at Walker Ave. Apt. will be available because it would be more suitable for my needs. I am worried that my OCD will make others become upset because I may take too long in the bathroom.
Thank you so much for all of your help.

I am so glad they are accommodating him. Here's hoping the private bath comes through.
Rebecca- I think he will do alright sharing a bathroom. Their schedules will be different and they probably won't be in the bathroom at the same time. :)
