IEP Show Down

IEP Show Down is a fun game to help parents learn and review strategies of what to do during an IEP meeting if problems do arise.

*This game is free, however it is only to be used for personal use. It may not be published on any websites or other electronic media, or distributed in newsletters, bulletins, or any other form or sold for profit. Reproduction or retransmission of any materials, in whole or in part, in any manner, is not permitted.

Directions: Set kitchen timer for a specified time. Put question cards in a small basket and use another one for discards near the game board. Pass out various stress toys to all players. Put “That was easy” token cards on top of the picture on the game board. Place your markers on START. Roll the die and move that many spaces. If your marker lands on a picture of “That was easy” button, pick a card and read it out loud. On each card is a situation that could happen during an IEP meeting and you must deal with that situation ASAP. The player must state how they can rectify the situation and if the other players agree that they have found a suitable solution to the problem, the player receives a “That was easy” token. Players can also check the answer sheet to see if the answer is correct. If the player does not come up with a good solution to the problem, they do not receive a token. If a player lands on a stress toy, they may play with their stress toy to help relieve their stress. Players collect tokens as they move around the board. When the timer goes off, the player with the most tokens wins.

Please comment with your email and I will send you a copy of the game.
