The Autism Spectrum Quotient, or AQ, is a questionnaire published in 2001 by Simon Baron-Cohen and his colleagues at the Autism Research Centre in Cambridge, UK. Consisting of fifty questions, it aims to investigate whether adults of normal intelligence have symptoms of autism or one of the other autism spectrum conditions.
The test was popularized by Wired Magazine in December 2001 when published alongside their article, "The Geek Syndrome” and is commonly used for self diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome and high-functioning autism.

Gee, do you think Bug gets it from me? I have been wondering this for a long time now. I bet my Dad would score even higher.
I was just talking with my husband and you know, if I have Asperger Syndrome it would certainly explain so much of my life - it would explain how I felt, how I act and how I have always acted... good grief, it would finally make my life make sense!
Bug's developmental pediatrician actually suggested to me that I was on the spectrum, but I never pursued looking into it aside from quizzes like this one... should I as an adult look into it, I don't know? But it sure would explain so much...
Rebecca-
I think AS is a recessive gene thing that the child must have the gene frome both parents.
Hubby is an engineer and I swear my brother is on the spectrum too.
I got 11. That was a little more difficult than I thought. LOL.
42. Which amuses me because that is also the answer to "life, the universe, and everything." I should play it as my lotto number.
I got 25. I am interested to know what my hubby would score on it.
I got a 19...and I'm...average. Makes me feel boring. LOL
