I think about going back to work all the time, but then sanity rushes back to me when I consider teaching again. I thank God for the wonderful insight that he supplies me with vengeance when I get the “teaching bug” up my butt every now and then. He reminds me of the ups and down and the pitfalls that will surely result if I return to work. Since hubby travels quite extensively, it would be prudent for me to toss those ideas of teaching again. Try juggling teaching blind and multihandicapped children every day while you have a son at home with Asperger Syndrome- that’s enough to give you grey hair and undoubtedly a quick trip to the state mental ward in no time. So when neighbors and relatives ask me when am I going back to work, I always say, “My husband makes enough money so I don’t have to. I thank God for that and enjoy being home and raising my son so he can become the best person he can be.”
