To spank, or not to spank: that is the question:
Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and torments of thy child
Or to take arms and spank their bottom
And, by opposing, Dr. Phil and Dr. Spock
Parents then teach the larger, stronger person
Has the power to get his way
Whether or not he is in the right
Many thou parents were spanked as children
Their insolence behavior was hence snubbed
But what of their dignity
The pangs of resentment results
Preservation of self-worth is no more
But the dread of spoiling the child
Over shadows our actions
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all
Even though there are more effective strategies
And thus, to spank, or not to spank: that is the question
